Every pilot starts here. The Private Pilot License is your first certificate, the one that lets you take off, navigate cross country, and land an airplane with nobody else's hands on the controls. At Legends Aviation Academy, our PPL course takes you from your first discovery flight to solo, and from solo to a pilot who can plan a trip, read the weather, and fly it safely start to finish.

Training splits between ground school going over airspace, weather, regulations, aircraft systems and flight time with a certified instructor, building from basic maneuvers to takeoffs, landings, and cross-country navigation. You'll need to pass an FAA written exam and a checkride with a Designated Pilot Examiner to earn your certificate. After that, the sky is genuinely yours.
